I’ve got a lovely coconut (bird feeder)

I recently purchased this coconut bird feeder and hung it in our feijoa tree.  The waxeyes already love that tree for the lovely red flowers which must have delicious treats in them.  They have gone absolutely mad for this coconut though, at times there was four waxeyes perched around it.  A relatively cheap option, which came filled with a peanut and vegetable fat mixture the tiny birds seem to love.  It’s been very well pecked out already but so far no bigger birds have gone near it so hopefully it lasts a while.

Sweet-pea

This is Sweet-pea and she was very keen to have some of my delicious scone! The puppy-dog eyes didn’t work though as it was far too good to share.

I’m sure her owners at the Iris Gardens in Motukarara will give her some scones later though if she is very well behaved 👼.
